Title and Short abstract:
Positive Organizations in Action: Advancing Science and Practice through Evidence-Based Positive Psychological Interventions
Positive Organizational Psychology has shown that employee well-being, engagement, and meaningful work are central drivers of sustainable performance and organizational resilience. Research on healthy and resilient organizations highlights the role of psychosocial resources, inclusive climates, and supportive leadership in fostering both human flourishing and long-term effectiveness.
The key challenge today is moving from knowledge to action. Evidence-based Positive Psychological Interventions (PPIs) provide structured and scientifically grounded approaches to intentionally cultivate well-being at work. Beyond individual-level strategies, contemporary interventions increasingly adopt multilevel perspectives, targeting teams, leadership practices,, and organizational culture.
This keynote reviews current evidence on positive organizations and examines what we know – and what remains to be explored – regarding the design, implementation, and sustainability of organizational PPIs. Future directions include advancing longitudinal and multilevel research, integrating diversity and inclusion perspectives, and addressing emerging challenges in digitally mediated workplaces.
Building positive organizations requires bridging science and practice to ensure sustainable impact for individuals, teams, and society
